Handmade Casebound Book - Lavender, Blue & Pink

Hand bound by book artist Patti Paulus. The cover is original paste paper in lavender and periwinkle, with magenta pulled across it in broad wedges and pale blue lines drawn back through the wet paint. The colour fades out toward the lower corner, which gives the design a direction most of the range doesn't have. Each sheet is pulled by hand, so this pattern belongs to this book alone. The spine is pale grey book cloth with a grey ribbon marker sewn in.

The book is cased in rather than exposed. The sections are sewn by hand onto linen tapes and finished the traditional way, with mull, Japanese paper, and headbands at head and tail, then covered so the structure is hidden. The endpapers are a deep teal blue.

Eighty blank pages on 80 lb acid free text weight, at a portrait 5 by 7 inches.
