Handmade Casebound Book - Teal, Yellow, Green and Blue

Hand bound by book artist Patti Paulus. The cover is original paste paper in chartreuse and turquoise, combed through with looping green and blue lines while the paint was still wet, so the pattern belongs to this book alone. The spine is dark green book cloth, with a green ribbon marker sewn in to match.

The book is cased in rather than exposed. The sections are sewn by hand onto linen tapes and finished the traditional way, with mull, Japanese paper, and headbands at head and tail, then covered so the structure is hidden.

At 5.5 by 4.5 inches it is small enough to carry, and the landscape format gives a drawing room to run sideways. Eighty blank pages on 80 lb sulfite text, acid free and archival.
